I am a huge fan of brunch. It is a great meal and is perfect for the weekends. Brunch is great to meet up with friends, family, or for a work related event such as meeting a client. One of the best brunches I have had in the area is at The Peasants Courtyard in Alamo, California.

Located at 3195 Danville Blvd. Suite 1, The Peasant’s Courtyard has everything from breakfast to sandwiches to dinner entrees. The food is delicious, the place is quaint, and the prices are very reasonable. One breakfast or brunch item I like to get is the corned beef hash with Sunnyside eggs and potato pancake. It is very tasty. A family favorite of ours is the eight-dollar stack of pancakes that consist of three full pancakes larger than my face. My husband and I share it sometimes; when we bring the boys they tend to share. Some great lunch and dinner dishes are the Black and Blue Salad, which has tri tip and blue cheese dressing with blue cheese crumbles, or the fish and chips in a light, crispy batter that they have on Fridays.

For warmer days there is an outdoor seating area in the courtyard where there is a quiet fountain. On some Fridays and Saturdays there is live music in this area. The servers are incredibly friendly and sweet. They have great people skills and senses of humor. Service is fast. The Peasant’s Courtyard is an all-around great restaurant where traditional American cuisine has a slight European twist.
