There has been a boom in the food truck industry, and I don’t know about you, but I am in love with this upsurge in food truck popularity. This interest in food trucks stems from Off the Grid in Concord, California.

Located in The Willows at 1975 Diamond Blvd. near the Concord-Pleasant Hill border, Off the Grid provides an amazing, fulfilling food truck experience that treats your taste buds to affordable, high-end cuisine. Off the Grid occurs in multiple locations, but the one in Concord ideal for nearby residents. Off the Grid takes place every Saturday from 11AM to 3PM in The Willows.

Off the Grid is the perfect place to take your family for a weekend outing; there is something for everyone. It is also a great place to go with friends for a different take on weekend brunch. I have had the pleasure of going with my family one time and my girlfriends another time, and there truly was something for everyone. With eight to ten vendors one is guaranteed to find the perfect eatery. I have had so many different types of food and beverages, but I do have my favorites.

Curry Up Now was one of the first food trucks I visited at Off the Grid. My friend’s daughter had always talked about how much she loved Curry Up Now by her college, so my husband and I gave it a try. We had the samosas, which were absolutely delicious. My boys enjoyed the Cupkates food truck; I think they rivaled the famous Sprinkles cupcakes people rave about. My husband’s favorite truck was the Drewski’s Hot Rod Kitchen food truck. He really liked the Mustang sandwich and especially loved the Deep Fried Mac Balls, which were both cooked to perfection with plenty of seasoning and flavor. The next time you and your friends or family are looking for a new, flavorful experience I highly encourage you to attend Off the Grid.
