Welcome to Alamo! Alamo sits at the heart of what we refer to as the 680 Corridor—a stretch of affluent towns which run along 680 between Highway 24 to the North and Interstate 580 to the South. As an unincorporated community, Alamo offers an upscale suburban setting in a semi-rural setting. It’s a great place to raise a family and also a favorite among local executives and “Silicon Valley” telecommuters alike. Walking, hiking and biking trails and parks are ample throughout Alamo. Hap Magee Ranch Park is located on the Alamo-Danville Border (1025 La Gonda Way) and includes picnic facilities and a children’s water play area. Plus it’s located ideally near the intersection of the Iron Horse Trail and Mt. Diablo Regional Trail. Livorna Park is a 4.4 acre community park and features a large open-air gazebo, a sand volleyball court, a multi-use sports court, playground structures, ample grassed area for picnics. During the summer months a series of concerts are held at the park in the early evenings and typically over the weekend. The quaint, small downtown area offers some good places to eat and drink. From BBQ favorite Maggieray’s to Xenia’s Bistro and Peet’s Coffee and Tea, there’s an assortment of offerings for everyone to enjoy.
