As a tight knit community, Alamo, CA schools offer residents a handful of educational options all of which fall under the San Ramon Valley School District. There are three schools in total; two elementary and one middle school. More often than not, for my clients looking to move to Alamo, the quality of the town’s education always receive high marks.

Alamo School Elementary is one of the original schools in the San Ramon Valley and continuously ranks as one of the top schools in the country and the state. The district mandates a 24 to 1 ratio, so class size is small and the curriculum is focused. Parent involvement plays a critical role at the school and the PTA coordinates a number of programs throughout the year for students and families alike. Visit the school’s PTA website (aes.srvusd.ca.schoolloop.com/pta) to get a closer glimpse at the Home of the Mustangs.

Rancho Romero Elementary serves the areas adjacent to Livorna Road in Alamo. Like Alamo Elementary School, class sizes are small and parental involvement top notch. This year, Rancho Romero received a California Distinguished School accolade as named by State School Chief Tom Torlakson in April 2014.

Stone Valley Middle School is one of the district’s nine middle schools. It has been named a California Distinguished School and is a National Blue Ribbon Winner. The teacher to student ratio is low and your child will be assigned a “core teacher” with whom they will spend the majority of their classroom time with—providing personalized attention during these most important adolescent years. As one of the older middle schools in the district, the campus will be undergoing some renovations in the near future.

Overall, you can’t go wrong in Alamo. A great community with great schools that can’t be beat! – Alamo Schools
