Alamo is much smaller than its neighboring counterparts, but nonetheless there’s plenty to do in this quaint community.

Surrounded by hiking, walking and biking trails at the base of Mt. Diablo, these paths network to a plethora of parks and recreational activities. Las Trampas Regional Wilderness Park is the largest park and is located to the immediate southwest of town.

Roundhill Country Club is a premier, private country club with an aquatic center, tennis and bocce ball courts available to members. Located in a beautiful setting in the rolling hills of Mount Diablo, it truly is an exceptional venue—if you can afford to join it will definitely exceed your expectations!

The downtown area is small and has a lot to offer. There’s no need to venture to Walnut Creek for your amenities. Safeway and Peet’s Coffee and Tea are right at home in Alamo Plaza. Getting ready for your next BBQ? Lawrence’s Meats is a full service butcher shop and an established one—it’s family-owned and has been in business since 1887—a true testament to local flavor! One of my favorite local dining spots is The Peasant’s Courtyard, a great place to eat for dinner, but an even better breakfast favorite! With a kids menu offered too, it can’t be beat!
